The Academy of Education in the Chamber of Crafts Karlsruhe invited to a presentation evening on Smart Grids within the event series “Digitalization in Craft (DIZ)”. Dr Christoph Schlenzig, managing director of Seven2one information systems, and Stefan Werner, solution manager for Easy Smart Grid, explained on current and future developments in the energy market and the consequences of the “Energiewende” for crafts and consumers. Energy storage and distribution, controlled with an intelligent grid infrastructure, will become essential. Crafts will play a key roll in the installation and service of necessary grid infrastructure and flexible devices like heat pumps, charging systems for e-mobility and flexible plants and devices in industry and household. Stefan Werner demonstrated in his presentation – using the energy concept of the community of Allensbach as an example – how the “Energiewende” can be implemented with the lowest cost and highest safety and comfort for consumers.
