Invitations from Jamaica and Mexico

19-21/06/2017

Jamaica and Mexico have both set ambitious programmes to reduce cost and climate impact of their energy systems. Today's tools focus on energy generation, bringing more information, control and coherence between fossil and renewable sources.

However, as countries like Germany are currently finding out, the next level of renewable integration and carbon reduction requires additional and different innovations, specifically flexible demand and decentral system management.

These were aspects Easy Smart Grid discussed with Jamaican utility JPS in Kingston, and at a Mexican-German energy conference organized by the "Centro Mario Molina" (Mario Molina was awarded the Nobel prize for his research relating to the ozone hole) and the German Embassy in Mexico City.
