Smart Grid Baden-Württemberg held its annual congress and exhibition with a focus on the digitization of energy. Of course, its founding member Easy Smart Grid attended and presented its current project SoLAR.

In his opening speech the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Energy Industry, Franz Untersteller, emphasized the important role of digitization for the energy transition and called for more federal support to make it happen. Within the presentations of state supported projects, Stefan Friedrich, the mayor of Allensbach presented his project SoLAR and his role as “translator” between citizen calling for climate protection, and the scientific and industrial communities. In the closing statement Prof. Hartmut Schmeck/KIT emphasized the importance of converting research and innovation results into daily life and cited the Allensbach project as an outstanding example of this at the conference. In addition, the SoLAR project consortium had organized a stand with supporting material and simulation demos, and was busy discussing the innovative elements and possible duplications of this project.
