Co-supervision of a Master thesis with the Institute for Industrial Production (IIP) of KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology)

The Chair of Energy Economics (Institute for Industrial Production, Prof. Fichtner) is collaborating with Easy Smart Grid and will co-supervised a Master thesis with a ESG topics: “New coordination mechanisms in Smart Grids: development of a model to assess frequency-based approaches”.

Easy Smart Grid is pleased to collaborate with the Institute for Industrial Production, Chair of Energy Economics, led by Prof. Fichtner. The main objective of this work is the development of a prototype optimization model with multiple energy sources, consumption and storage types. On the consumption side, modelling of cooling and air conditioning equipment will be deeply analyzed, representing a significant share of the flexible electricity demand. This study will enable Easy Smart Grid to concretely describe the benefit of Easy Smart Grid in different scenarios.
