Easy Smart Grid has been invited to a Conference on renewable energy (RE), storage and efficiency, organized by AHK Greece in Thessaloniki (Date from 24.07 to 27.07). A major objective of this conference was to use the economic potential of abundant natural energy resources (sun, wind etc.) and to reduce energy cost particularly on Greek islands that today burden the country by the required subsidies of 800 M€/a.
More than hundred B2B meetings were organized between institutions and companies to initiate cooperation and match challenges and solutions for mainland and island regions of Greece. The conference with over 130 participants from all over Greece covered Greek and German energy markets as well as innovative solutions of German companies in the field of energy storage and Smart Grids.
Generally, there was very positive feedback from the Greek side on the scope and relevance of the presentations. As Easy Smart Grid we started exchanges with operators on possible demos, and with RE companies to complement their offering by innovative ways to store fluctuating generation by flexible demand. We look forward to joint action to help achieve better climate protection and lower energy cost at the same time.
