The conversion of the traffic sector from fossil fuels to electricity can strongly contribute to energy cost reduction, particularly in countries with high shares of expensive diesel electricity. This was recognized by GIZ, the German Development Agency that collaborates with countries world-wide. It organized a workshop ELMO to develop concrete project proposals for electro mobility on islands. Easy Smart Grid was invited to contribute its know-how on how electric vehicle batteries can also stabilize the grid, increase renewable share, and thus save money and carbon dioxide. In the follow-up, GIZ will discuss this with its partner organisations in events such as the energy transition day, where they invited representatives from ministries all over the world, and also German specialist companies - including Easy Smart Grid.
