Easy Smart Grid was granted a European patent in 2016, with US patents pending. They protect our unique price communication technology. It is used to modify island grids, micro grids or grid cells into real time trading platforms for energy and flexibility. It also allows the design, manufacture and use of novel controllers and meters. Easy Smart Grid technology is expected to be more performant, cost effective, cyber secure and resilient than any other known solution.

Thomas Walter - Managing Director
Thomas builds on over 30 years of international professional experience in digitisation and innovation (Cambridge Consultants/GB, Philips/NL, Dresdner Bank/D, Altran/F, Wirsol Solar/D). He earned a diploma in electrical engineering and telecommunications from KIT Karlsruhe and the University of Essex/GB, and a PhD in sensing and automation from RWTH Aachen. At Easy Smart Grid he leverages his expertise in digital information and communication technology, energy management, system design, innovation management and business development to contribute to the mastering one of the biggest challenges to be solved today.
Easy Smart Grid has been elected to be one of the Top 3 European Startups in Smart Energy in the EIT Digital Idea challenge in 2014.

Stefan Werner – Solution Manager
Stefan Werner is a designated expert in product development and product management with more than 20 years of professional experience and a comprehensive technical background. He was educated in airplane building at Airbus and studied mechanical engineering with focuses on design methods and electric machines and new mobility technologies at the Technical University of Braunschweig. His last position was Director of Technology Development in an international pump group, with emphases i.a. on heat transfer and innovative drive and control concepts. His engagement with climate protection (local Agenda 21, Allensbach) lead him to intelligent energy networks and into contact with Easy Smart Grid. Since October 2017 he supports Easy Smart Grid with his competence in developing innovative concepts and is in charge of technology and project development.
