The Solar Impulse Foundation announces that our solution – EFFICIENT SMART GRID TECHNOLOGY – has received its Efficient Solution Label.
The initiative “World Alliance for Efficient Solutions” is part of The Solar Impulse Foundation and was formally established at COP 23 in Bonn (see our report from the first meeting there). After having circled earth in a solar plane to demonstrate solar energy can be used even for the most demanding application, its founder Bertrand Piccard committed to find 1000 solutions that can contribute to clean and efficient energy systems.
“Today, thousands of solutions exist that can boost economic growth while preserving nature, but they remain unknown to decision makers,” added Bertrand Piccard. “Our goal is to bring them to governments and corporations to demonstrate that they must urgently stop compromising for minimal targets.”
