Our focus in 2014 was on winning industrial partners and investors. Our objective was to protect our technology as widely as possible, build up a team, develop products and pilots, and then roll out the technology to supply international markets soon.
Unfortunately, for the photovoltaic industry 2014 was a rather bad year, particularly in Germany. As a result, the focus of industry and clean tech investors was mainly on short term results. While we earned a lot of recognition and respect for our activities, Easy Smart Grid had to reformulate its business strategy in response to market conditions. This called for a structure with more focus on Europe and more emphasis on developing and marketing our underlying technology.
Marie Berger in this situation decided to follow other opportunities that better match her professional interests. She will be greatly missed and hopefully will have a lot of success and fun.
